Your Daylight Savings Time Toddler Game Plan

Hi everyone!

I'm working on something really, really huge for the website, so I'm going to keep this short and sweet. We had our Mommy & Me Meetup at Lil Chameleon last week and it was a big hit! More than 20 parents showed up and all the kids had a blast playing together in the lounge. It was such a success that the owner of Lil Chameleon has created a 4-week meetup program. Think of it as new-friend boot camp! We'd love for you to join.

The program consists of four 90-minute sessions at just $5 each (take that, $15-for-45-minutes open gyms!). That covers some new toys we'll be able to play with and cleanup. We'll get free range of the lounge and the private activity room. I will be hosting the meetups like I did last week, but I don't make a profit or control registration or signup, so any questions of that nature can be directed to Lil Chameleon.

Join us for our first 4-week meetup, every Monday from 10:30am - 12:00pm starting November 6th. Sign up here!

Daylight Savings Time, AKA The Morning Killer

If you haven't started thinking about Daylight Savings Time yet, I don't want to scare you, but it's just three short weeks away. If you don't prep now, your little cutie is going to yelling from bed wide awake at 5am. Parents magazine has a great article with tips on how to convert them without either of you losing sleep. TLDR? It's mostly common sense. In the weeks before November 5, let your little one sleep in a bit, with the hope of pushing them back a full hour so that when they wake up on Monday the 6th, their internal clock matches the physical one. Then you can use that extra hour in the morning to change your fire alarm and carbon monoxide detector batteries like the good citizen that you are.

That's it for this week!

Don't forget to join us for our November 4-week meetup, every Monday from 10:30am - 12:00pm. Sign up here!

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram. And as always, check our website for events and weekly library programs. And don't forget to check out our huge list of Halloween programs happening around the county from now until Halloween. If you missed last week's post with that list, you can find it here

See you next time!
