Your 2019 Westchester Egg Hunt Guide

It's that time of year again! Time to send the kids out on the lawn to race around for brightly colored garbage! Kidding! Egg hunts are a great way to get outside and welcome spring, and Westchester County has tons of them.

We've compiled a list of all the ones we know about, with a few extras like special breakfasts and where to get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Read on for our guide, and remember to confirm dates, times, and locations before you head out. Most of these egg hunts start right at the time listed, so plan to get there early so you have time to park and find your place on the lawn.

Sunday, March 31

Apple Moms HV & Carmel Sports Club Egg Hunt
1pm to 3pm
Carmel Sports Club

$40 per ticket. Ticket price includes 2 adults, all immediate children in family. Additional adults are $5 which can be paid at the door. Come for an egg hunt, 3 age groups separated on fields. Easter Bunny visiting for pictures. Lisa Anfuso Photography will have a formal Spring/Easter set up to take your children or family portrait at the event. Bunny Cares Photos with the Easter Bunny

Palisades Mall, Nyack

People within every spectrum of special needs and their families are invited to a private photo session, to experience the time-honored tradition of a visit with the Easter Bunny during dedicated hours. Please reserve your complimentary ticket. Families are encouraged to arrive at any time during their scheduled 15-minute time period, Upon arrival, one of the bunny’s helpers will provide you with a number so that your family does not have to stand in a line until they are ready for you. Event will be held within Bunny Towne in West Court, on Level One near Best Buy. Guests are encouraged to park within Parking Lot A. Visits with the Easter Bunny are free. PizZaZzles Presents The Easter Extravaganza and Jefferson Valley Takeover!

Stew Leonard’s Easter Egg Hunt Egg-stravaganza

This event sells out far in advance. Children will be given a map of Stew Leonard’s and a bag to collect eggs from costumed characters throughout the store. Each egg contains candy and every child will receive one Golden Egg with prizes ranging from plush toys and bubbles to children’s DVDs and Easter activity books. Six lucky children will find this year’s grand prize inside their Golden Egg, courtesy of Rye Playland: a four-family pack of day passes (four prizes)  and a family season pass (two prizes). The Easter Egg Hunt Eggs-Travaganza is free to the community. Click here for more info.

Meet the Easter Bunny

The Westchester
125 Westchester Avenue, White Plains

The Easter Bunny has set up shop at the mall from March 29 to April 20th. Hours vary slightly, but most of the time he's there from 10am or 11am to 8pm. Their setup is very similar to when they have Santa. You can make an appointment, but we walked right in on a weekday with no line. One they take the photo it's about 20 bucks to buy it, but you can book deals ahead of time online. For children who need extra sensitivity, the Caring Bunny will be available on April 7 from 9am to 10:30am. Click here for more info.


Danbury Fair Mall

The eggs are in the basket and the chocolates are wrapped, now it’s time for your bunny snap! Round up the family,put on your best, flash a smile and we’ll take care of the rest. Visit us at lower level JCPenney Court for your favorite Easter photo shoot. First 5,000 visitors to the Easter set gets a complimentary FREE KIDS MEAL card from Chick-Fil-A. Last year the bunny was also available at the Jefferson Valley Mall, Palisades Mall and Stamford Mall, but no info is up yet on their websites at press time.
