Here are our ideas for holiday fun and a bonus section with options for a fun New Year’s Eve with people who expect to be asleep by 9pm. WHAT TO DO THIS DECEMBER WITH YOUR LITTLE ONES

Lasdon Park Holidays on the Hill
Katonah, 11am to 4pm, Weekends in December

Holiday Toy & Train Show at the County Center
White Plains, Sunday, December 9, 9am - 3pm

The largest toy/train show in the northeast! New and antique toys and trains, all gauges, train parts, layouts, appraisals, diecast cars, books, test tracks, and toy soldiers. Click here for more info and for a coupon for $1 off admission. Children under 12 are free!

Fable Food’s Winterfest
Ossining, December 9, 10am to 4pm

Menorah lighting at Untermyer Park
Yonkers, December 9, 4:15pm - 5:15pm

Winter Crafternoon

Gingerbread Houses
Chappaqua Library, December 11, 4pm - 5:30pm

Our annual sugar hi-jinks. Construct your framework at home and bring it in to decorate with us. Bring candy and frosting (and we will have some to share as well!) For kids in Kindergarten and up with an adult, no younger siblings please!

Holiday Hoopla with Wickity Stitch & Tibbits
Crestwood Library, December 11, 4pm - 6pm

Come join the fun and chocolate loving witch and cat duo Wickity Stitch and Tibbits as we celebrate the December Holidays with books, games, crafts, snacks and more! All ages. Click here to register.

Make a Gingerbread House

12 Days Of KidX at the Jefferson Valley Mall

Family Film: The Polar Express

OPEN ON CHRISTMAS!

LEGOland Discovery Center
Yonkers, 10am-7pm, last entry 5pm

This indoor ode to all things LEGO is open 365 days a year. Inside you’ll find LEGO city replicas, a play structure, a few midway-style rides, a theatre showing LEGO clips, plenty of blocks to play with, a small tot section, and a cafe. NEW YEAR’S EVE FUN

Ring in the New Year at Noon at New Roc City
New Roc City, 10:30am to 12:30pm

For the 9th year in a row, New Roc City will host their festive ‘Ring in the New Year at Noon’ event for kids ages 2 – 10 in the atrium on Sunday, December 31st from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm. Parents and kids will enjoy an exciting Times Square inspired atmosphere in a safe and fun environment. 

The highlight of the event is always the thrilling count down to a 3,000+ balloon drop at noon, along with face painting, arts and crafts, kiddy rides, clowns, wheel of chance, games, snacks, goody bag, raffle prizes and much more! $10 per family. Click here for more info.

Countdown to Noon at Bounce U
Elmsford, 11:00am to 1:00pm

Come ring in the New Year, BounceU Style. An all ages bounce featuring 90 minutes in the 2 giant bounce rooms (45 minutes each). All participating kids will receive hats, horns and blowers. We'll stop the action to do a countdown to 12 noon! Then all kids will enjoy a pizza party with soft drinks. Countdown to Noon at Fun Craft
Scarsdale, 11:30am to 12:30pm, registration required

Ring in the New Year with your family and friends! We’ll host our very own countdown to the ball drop at noon on New Year’s Eve, while we sing, dance and play our way into the new year! Dave & Buster’s Family New Years Eve Celebration
Pelham Manor, 5pm to 8pm

Dave & Busters is offering an exciting and fun way for you & your family to ring in the New Year! Choose Package 1 for $45 (includes tax and tip) and receive: An appetizer buffet with family favorites, Dessert, Unlimited soft drinks, $20 Power Card per guest, A video ball drop to ring in the New Year, Face Painter and craft station. Westchester’s Winter Wonderland New Year’s Eve Party with Ball Drop at 7pm
