Cara's Corner Daycare

At the time of publishing I was informed there is a waiting list for children over their entry age of 6 weeks. A second site is in the planning and my be open in the later part of 2015.

Cara is incredibly warm and welcoming an happy to accommodate any requests you may have (within reason of course). 

There is no minimum attendance requirement and the cost is $80 for a full day or $12 an hour for part time care.

Activities include Story time, Outdoor play (weather permitting), Music time and homework if applicable. This is an in home daycare and will offer your child a feeling of being at home. This may not be the best option for you if you want the child to follow a strict curriculum as while there is a structure to the day it follows what the parents request.

Child/Staff Ratio: approximately 1 staff per 2 children (one of the best ratio's I've ever seen!)

Children's Corner - Scarsdale

At the time of publishing I was informed there is availability for children over their entry age of 18 months.

Each month the daycare has a theme and they will do activities that support the theme. Children are taken outside twice a day (weather permitting)

There are 3 classrooms. Toddlers (18mths), 3 yrs and 4yr with the staff ratio being 1:5 for toddlers, 1:7 for 3yrs and 1:8 for 4yrs.

Their day options are from 1 - 5 days and the cost for full time care is $1715 a month for a toddler.

About the Nursery/DayCare: I am a Stay at Home Mother who has a Bachelor's Degree in Education. My family is relocating to Briarcliff Manor from Rye Brook August 1st.

I am looking to watch 2-3 children, ages 2-5, in my home in Briarcliff Manor. I have boy girl twins who are 3 1/2. I plan on having a preschool type curriculum, story time, learning numbers, letters, sight words, art and craft activities, along with structured play and outdoor activities. I am looking at offering services beginning at the end of August first of September.

Hours would be full-time M-F but would consider part-time child care as well. 
Weekly cost would be $350 per child.

I am not currently CPR/ First Aid certified but plan on renewing them prior to offering in home child care.

A little about me. 
I have 10 years experience in teaching K-12 in Missouri and Arizona. I graduated with honors from the University of Central Missouri. I taught K-12 Physical Education, coached soccer, cheerleading, softball and cross country. In Arizona I taught in an inner city school as a Girls Physical Education Teacher. I again coached softball, cheerleading, and soccer. As a step-parent in Arizona I substituted at my stepchildren's Charter School and was a volunteer coach for First Lego League and Girl's on the Run.

In 2010 I became a stay at home mommy for my three stepsons who are now 15, 13, and 10 who currently reside in Arizona with their Mom and visit our family during their school holiday's and summer vacation. I substitute taught and volunteered at their Charter School 200+ hours a school year until I had my twin's in 2010.

Kidz Korner of Mamaroneck

At the time of publishing I was informed there is limited availability for children over their entry age of 6 weeks.

Kidz Korner offers a transition period to allow children to settle in where parents can stay (subject to availability and space) for a short period whilst your child gets used to their surroundings and teachers

There is a minimum attendance of 2 days and the costs is $600 a month for these two days. Full time is $1450 a month. 

Whilst no website I am informed activities include Story time, Arts and Crafts, Outdoor play in the park opposite (weather permitting), Music time and even yoga!   

Child/Staff Ratio: For infants it is 1:3 and toddlers 1:5

A Mothers Intuition Daycare

An excellent reputation with staff having over 30 years combined childcare experience

Currently there is a minimum 4 full day requirement owing to the waiting list with a ball park cost of $1500 a month. Please call to clarify

Activities include Free Play- indoor slides, tubes,puzzles,games and toys as well as outdoor play (weather permitting) Digital learning through educational apps, Arts & Crafts - coloring, painting or drawing, Story Time - enabling language and developing minds

Nana's Kids

At the time of publishing I was informed there is limited availability for children over their entry age of 6 weeks.

Most of Nana's staff have been with her for the ten years plus she has been in operation.

Ideally located close to the train station, Nanas Kids are your eyes for your children and will let you know if they see anything that concerns them and they ask you do likewise so they can help.

They only do full time care and the costs is $1650 a month for an infant and $1575 for a toddler. if you have a second child you receive 10% reduction. 

Whilst no website I am informed toddlers are taken out twice a day weather permitting and the pre-schoolers get to take trips to places like the Children's Museum amongst others. 

Child/Staff Ratio: For infants it is 7:3 and toddlers 5:1 but in the afternoon it becomes 3:1. Pre-schoolers is 12:3

Staff are also available to babysit.

Starlight Early Childcare LLC

Starlight Early Childcare is a licensed family daycare provider, located in the Daven Port area of New Rochelle. Accepting children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years and school age children.
