HAO BANG AH, SHEEP!

“Hao Bang Ah” is a common Chinese expression meaning “Great!” or “Well done!” The show features a jolly selection of hand puppet vignettes, many based on popular songs and well known Chinese sayings. While some parts of the program are performed in Chinese, all include English translations and explanations.

The audience will also be introduced to some of the other animals of the Chinese zodiac-- Tigers, Rabbits, Dragons and Snakes. They will learn about Chinese New Year customs and foods (red envelopes, fish and “nian gao”).

Sing-alongs, games and audience participation and a post-show hands-on demon- strations make the Chinese cultural experience and language learning accessible to even the youngest audience members.

There will be face painting and children will decorate paper lanterns, and taste Chinese snacks.
