Family Walk to Protect America’s Wild Heritage

  • WARD POUND RIDGE RESERVATION (map)

The Wolf Conservation Center’s third annual FREE service-learning event, “WCC’s Family Walk to Protect America’s Wild Heritage,” celebrates Newbery Medal-winning author Jean Craighead George and the natural world she described so vividly over her long and robust career. The event will introduce at-risk species who have been given a chance of recovery thanks to the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Through her books, the celebrated author opens the door to understanding the importance and plight of endangered species, rewilding hearts of adults and children alike.

The event will include learning activities, hikes, crafts, raffles and an appearance by ambassador wolf Atka too! We hope you can join us on this special day!
