Lasdon Park and Arboretum presents the Dino Train Show! This year, we are expanding our event to include additional activities and exhibits that will keep you and your children thrilled and entertained for hours.
As always, the STAR OF OUR SHOW will be our model train exhibit! More than 100 feet of model train track built around various legend, storybook and movie favorite dinosaurs that children and adults love. Part of the train show will feature an erupting volcano!
The Main House
The main floor of the house will be fully decorated in theme and our visitors are invited to explore rooms filled with suprises! Some of which include:
- life-size animatronic dinosaur
- living plant exhibit
- giant dinosaur mural
- dioramas depicting the three eras of dinosaurs, Jurassic, Mesozoic and Cretaceous
Rexy the Dinosaur in 3D presented by Ledley Food Service
A 10 minute short presentation of "Rexy the Dinosaur" in HD3D will be shown in the library, on our high defination 60” screen.
Children and adults alike can follow Rexy back in time as he playfully searches for his mother in this delightful tale. This screening is suitable for all ages.
Dinosaur Safari
In addition to the main house, there will be outdoor exhibits and activities, such as: Dinosaur Safari. Visitors can stroll through the woods on a Dino Scavenger Hunt, where they will find try to find items such as: life-size T-Rex footprints, dinosaur fossils, scaled dinosaur statues, nests with dinosaur eggs ready to hatch, soaring Jurassic birds overhead and more!
Hay Maze
One of our outdoor favorites will return this year as the Jurassic Hay Maze, children will be able to navigate their way through the maze meeting up with dinosaur characters until they reach the middle. The middle of the maze will hold a sand pit where children can brush sand away to reveal a special suprise!
Dinosaur Topiary Garden
Dinosaur Topiary Garden located in the formal garden where our visitors can start their adventure strolling the garden and admiring the 5’ high topiaries .The formal garden will feature dinosaur topiary figures in the four corners of the garden surrounding the fountain. Each dinosaur will be elevated and surrounded with seasonal flowers and greenery.
Wagon Ride
The ride takes our visitors through the upper level of the park, where our guests will delight to find some old friends from Halloweens past but with a surprise ending!
